Starting September 2025 - A year-long course for practitioners and others to learn astrology to use in clinical practice. The aim of the course is show how Astrology can deepen and enrich your practice as a herbalist or other practitioner. It will also equip you with practical skills to use Astrology, both as Temperament and Decumbiture in your practice, and then offer optional continuing supervision to build confidence and technique.
Elisabeth Brooke has been using astrology in her practice for over 40 years and has found it invaluable to understand her clients, choose her remedies and adjust her practice from a symptom based, to a holistic approach to healing body, mind, spirit and emotions.
Elisabeth will outline practice in her book Traditional Western Herbal Medicine
Classes will last 60-90 minutes and there will be time for questions.
The recordings will be available for 3 months after each lesson and thereafter will form part of a standalone course.
Term 1 will cover:
Sept 21st : Fire planets and signs, herbs, foods, activities, mindsets, emotions associated with them
October 5th: Earth planets and signs etc.
October 19th: Air planets and signs etc.
October 26th: Water planets and signs etc.
November 9th: Houses and aspects.
November 23rd: The Temperament putting it all together.
Term 2 (dates to be confirmed) will cover:
- Decumbiture introduction
- Asking the question
- The practitioner
- Diagnosis: Physical, emotional, mental, spiritual
- Practice: Decumbiture working with examples
- Practice: Temperament recap and examples.
Term 3:
The aim is to show your learning and application in practice of medical astrology as studied in the course. At the end of term, a decumbiture and a Temperament chart is to be submitted showing your practice and craft. This can be done privately 1:1 with Elisabeth, or in a group setting online, written or orally delivered.
